I enjoy and appreciate all of the help and responses I am getting from my friends on the different groups as well as on twitter. You all rock!

So the discussion today is about Twilight. Seriously you've heard of it right? LOL. Of course you have, unless you've been living under a rock. The book as well as the movies have indeed turned into something along the lines of a cult following. But you never mess with a Twilight fan, because if there is one, there are many right behind. Its just how it works, and we exercise this right very often.

Due to the lack of response from the Twilight fans I know, this will be an extremely short blog post.

I would like to think Laura, as well as Devin and Candicontagious! Out of nearly 300 people, you three actually tried!

OK, so be honest, when did you actually start reading the Twilight saga?

PJ Littlefoot: OK, I don't know if I should be ashamed or not, I'm going to go with not, I finished with the series in November. I started in October. And to be honest I only bought Twilight to see if I would actually like the series. I started reading Twilight on the way to Gainsville one day and I got about 20 pages in and left it alone. I felt very bored with it. But after running out of books to read picked it up again and didn't stop reading it. After that I read New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn each in a day. So my Weekend consisted of reading the series...

Laura: July 15th 2008

Who is your favorite Character in the books?

PJ Littlefoot: As far as the book goes, my favorite is Alice! Maybe its because she nearly always seems happy and people should be happy. I'm not exactly sure how this fell together, but she is great.

CandiContagious: Mary Alice Brandon Cullen truly I have a heart for all the characters in twilight, I identify someone in my real life with most of them, but there is Alice, I don't know about you but I've had "an Alice" in my life she was the best friend a girl could ask for, witty and fierce for a little thing she would always be the friend who stood up for you in the end.

Laura: Bella. As cliche as it sounds. lol I can relate to her somewhat since she's really insecure around boys until Edward comes along. And she's got a sense of humor like me. She's also really strong with everything that she has to deal with & once she sets her mind to something [most of the time] she doesn't change it & pulls through. Even though she's crazy when she tries to sacrifice herself! lol

So... now that we know about the characters, what was your favorite book?

PJ Littlefoot: Breaking Dawn. End of story. OK not end of story (technically it is the end...). I liked it best it showed a lot of people in different lights.

CandiContagious: I love me a good tragic story, so New Moon although it was the most difficult to read, luckily I'm a new comer to the twilight world, and had been on Stephenie Meyer's website, where she states "I told people, once you read it read it again. It seems like no one ever got passed Edward leaving to enjoy the book the first time" so I took her advice, I was glad I read the spoilers for it... it was like someone holding my hand through the "pain" and it has become my favorite book of the serious (unless SM decides to do a NM Edward POV...) that book probably wouldn't smell so bad of wolf

Laura: Twilight, which is kinda sad since no offense, but the movie wasn't that great compared to the book. :

So anything that didn't make a very good impression on you?

CandiContagious: I have a love hate relationship with the character Jacob Black. In twilight I felt bad for the kid, in new moon I just wanted to kick him, in eclipse I wanted to feel bad for him but still wanted to kick him from the last book, in braking dawn, I was left confused, imprinting was new to my mind at the time, and frankly...weird. If Jake didn't seem so whiny and manipulative...maybe I'd like him.

Devin: 1) the way Stephenie uses the term 'moot point' WAY TOO MUCH 2) the way the characters go through dialect phases - ie: in one part of the series, Edward takes to calling Bella 'love' at the end of every sentence, which he never did before basically when she finds a term or a cliche that she likes, she uses it to DEATH and I'm super surprised her editor didn't veto that

PJ Littlefoot: alright, is there a reason you dislike Jacob?

Devin: he's cocky and forceful, and i feel like he MAKES Bella feels things for him. I like movie Jacob though - he seems softer, less aggressive if a guy said some of the things to me that Jacob said to Bella, I'd hit him AND not talk to him again

Laura: I didn't like how overprotective Edward was with Bella. I mean it's nice you care & all dude, but let the girl have her space. I didn't like how indecisive Bella was. Idk. It irked me. She was playing around with both guys' emotions even though Edward said he was okay with it.

Devin: we're talking about how i hate imprinting lol

PJ Littlefoot: but it was funny to see her (Bella) want to hurt him (Jacob)

Devin: oh yeah that part is hilarious i just hate the whole concept of it - it's stupid and archaic and almost sexist (and I'm no feminist lol)

Laura: Oh man.

PJ Littlefoot: lol, good to know

Laura: Imprinting...yeah.

Devin: it's kind of like an arranged marriage

Laura: And even though the guy may be perfect for the girl, what if the girl doesn't want to be with the guy anymore? He's still gonna wanna be with her. :/

Devin: yeah exactly. and like... when he morphs and rips her face off... does that count as abuse? lol could she file charges?hahahaha

PJ Littlefoot: lol, I hope so I would love to see that happen, SM needs to write a book about that

Devin: it could be the concept of soul mates except that the girl doesn't have to return the feelings for the guy to imprint on her

Laura: It was in the heat of passion. lol

Devin: So it could also be related to STALKING lol

So this is what everything boils down too.

Laura: I liked the way Edward & Bella got each other so well. I mean they had their flaws, but in the end knew they loved each other & would do anything for each other, even if they got on each other's nerves sometimes.

Alright guys so there you have it. No pictures, no quotes, actually a little upset about the lack of responses, but for those who did help, I thank you very much!

I don't think I will be doing Twilight as much on the blog as I though considering the LACK of response. I'm not sure, but I seriously am not going to keep putting myself out there just to have so many ignore me. I made this blog the way it is for a reason!!!!

Alright guys... Nice pictures that I would get from Sherrilyn's website to depict what we where actually talking about. But then I actually went to her website and the people who are modeling for the characters don't look anything like what I had imagined, so I suppose we will have to get you to imagine why it is exactly we feel the way we do about the characters, minus pictures. I know that may seem a bit boring, but at least its honest.

PJ Littlefoot: Started reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series in June of 2008. I read the first twelve books in less than a month. Now I'm up to date on all of the books in the series (if my bookshelf is any indication). Minus Bad Moon Rising, due to money issues, I will have it Friday, I plan to get it signed at Dragon*Con.

Mahika : Started reading the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark-Hunter series last summer.

Julia: FWEW!!! When did I start reading the DH's.....when I was thirteen? Maybe? So about seven years ago. Sounds about right :) I think I was gifted enough to read the exact-middle book first, and I just bounced around from there :)

So on with the discussion, whose the most captivating Dark-Hunter?

PJ Littlefoot: Captivating, appealing, or alluring. I think everyone (including myself) gets sucked into Acheron. First reason was your really didn't know much about him till Acheron came out, except he was the first Dark-Hunter and he is capable of doing things (like walking out into the sunlight) that the other Dark-Hunters cannot do. Add that to the fact that he has a demon that travels with him, its nearly impossible to bring him to his knees, and bang, awesomeness! So with that being said, I love Acheron (and many other fictional characters) I am going to go against the grain and say... that's right, I'm going with Sin. Not only is he a Dark-Hunter he is a God. Sin is a ex-fertility god whose godhood was stolen from him one night while in Artemis's temple. Whats not appealing about a god, better yet one with as much power as him?

Karla: I can't answer that one and not think of Ash. He endured the most for us all. After that I would say captivating would be Valerius. I loved the story behind this. He was forced to punish those he loved. He had a fascinating life. He took steps to protect those that mattered to him. He draws me

Supernaturallover: Talon, for sure.

Mahika: Not technically a DH but Acheron is the most captivating even before you read his story

What is it that makes the characters really sizzle?

PJ Littlefoot: Well in the case of Sin it would be all the obstacles he has had to over come. I mean, one day your a powerful god (even if your half human) and the next your godhood is gone. Your arch enemy thinks he is trying to come up with some extravagant plan to kill her and order Acheron to have him killed, when he refuses she sends her daughter (that no one even knows about) to kill him, but then finds out what is really going on. Sin isn't the evil doer. But no ones a saint either. The Gallu are out to play! And in the end Sin and Katra make an amazing team. Betrayal is never an easy thing to get over, and everyone has their own demons, so Sin's ability to... everything fighting to the sexual appeal, nothing is lost on this man. If you don't know, then you definitely need to go to the book store and pick up Devil May Cry and very quickly!

Supernaturallover: Night Embrace is the first book I read of the series and I still remember the image of him so vividly in my mind! The blond hair with the braids, the celtic tattoos (I love a man with an inttricate tat!), the shitkicker boots and custom leather jacket. The man was danger and sex on a stick! I've always been partial to powerful chieftains too! He made me wanna bake beignets and get up early to make his coffee while he lounged naked on my bed, I loved the character that much! Even if he did have gators as pets, lol. Oh, how could I forget that he calls Ash T-Rex? Seriously brave! ;P

Karla: His history. What he has accomplished. What he can still accomplish. His sex appeal was amazing. He was so perfect in so many ways and so proper so to have him dragged down to Penis macaroni was hilarious to me. (About Valerius)

Mahika: at first, the mystery surrounding Acheron. It is interesting to read the clues on what makes him tick before you read his story and after that he is just more captivating because you understand why he does the things he does and reacts how he reacts

Alright, now who is your favorite Demon?

PJ Littlefoot: There's more than one? LOL. I'm kidding. Well of course its Simi. Seriously, shes the coolest Demon there is, plus her Arki is serious business! Who wouldn't want a demon who sometimes appear as a tattoo somewhere on your body and moves too? Simi likes to eat, like most demons, but even better, shes a shopaholic! She loves the Sparklies. The only place she can walk around in her true form without anyone being suspicious? You guess it Dragon*Con (You can read all about that particular story including that of Dragon*Con in Stroke of Midnight the anthology is called Winter Born). Simi is just an all around awesome Demon. At least shes not out trying to kill everyone!

Julia: Oooo!!! My favorite demon is Xypher!! He counts, doesn't he? HAHAHA!! I guess he's half-and- half >:D Or wasn't there a wonderful Charonte demon named Xedric? He was pretty wonderful too. Because he loved that woman so much :)

Paula: Awww with Demon I'd have to go with JADEN. Definitely my favorite Demon ;-))

Julia: Is Jaden a demon? I was never really clear on that fact. I know they call him The Demon Broker, but I thought that was just because he DEALT with demons. And if he isn't a demon, just what the heck is he?!

PJ Littlefoot: Don't worry I had the same issue. Wasn't really sure, I had a lot of responses as Jaden being "other" lol.

Paula: Wasn't it said in the books, Xypher's I think? That he was a Demon? Unless I have it mixed up. LOL. I always thought he was the Demon. *and* demon broker.

Julia: I love Jaden because he's suffered for years and years (and continues to suffer) in servitude, but he still has a heart. He still cared about that woman that the demon sacrificed to call him, and though he may be bitter, he still shows kindness to the world. And while I'm not going to spoil what he did, for those who haven't read OSN (One Silent Night) or Dream Warrior, all the work he did to finally set his "friend" free....that just broke my heart. In a way, even though his soul or whatever belongs to his "owner," his life also revolves around the people who are special to him. A hard thing to do when you're constantly being beaten or tortured.

Paula: on page 186 of Xypher's book Jaden is called "the demon lord" and then Xypher calls him that when tells Simone what he'd done

Karla: I fear a lot will say this but Stryker. Even though he is horrid he loves. He protects those he loves with a fierceness. He is so heart broken still over the loss of the son. Still protective of the daughter and the now wife. He watches over his people with a good strong hand but he is fair. Always second best to Ash in the eyes of the one mother

PJ Littlefoot: Thanks to Paula we actually had this information finally cleared away. Jaden is a demon. Xxpher's book is Dream Chaser. Stryker's story is also out, One Silent Night

Mahika: SIMI! LOL. she is so cute and hates The Bitch Goddess

Alright, so we've talked about the Dark-Hunters, we've talked about the demons, no whose your favorite Were-Hunter?

PJ Littlefoot: Alright. Its official, I have two! Ones a hybrid and the other is also a Dark-Hunter. Its a tie between Wren and Rayvn. Wren was a mystery like no other, he rarely talked to anyone, only ever playing pool with Nick, but just listened. He is one of the misunderstood, I love that. Plus I like cats, add that to the fact that he is one of the few Were-Hunters who not only can transform from human to animal, he can transform into three animals, A leopard, Tiger, and the mix of both. The Tigard is his true form. You can find Wren's tale in Unleash the Night.

Then there is Rayvn, he is a Dark-Hunter who is a were-hunter... His mate completely screwed him up. Hell its even funny that the person he ends up with is allergic to cats! LOL. Rayvn's story is in Dark side of the Moon.

Julia: Vane. I'm sure everyone is going to mention him (and his penchant for plus-sized women ;) but there are other reasons I love him to pieces. I mean, with all of the other characters, you'll notice they do kind things to help out the world, or a friend. But with Vane, all of his acts of kindness are devoted specifically towards Bride. Everything he does in that book is centered around her, and I couldn't think of anything more romantic than that. His life revolves around that woman, and what more could you ask for in a man? :) So that's why I love Vane.

Karla: That is a precious memory as well. Vane was so totally captivated with Bride.

PJ Littlefoot: You can find Vane and Bride's story in Night Play

Paula: Were would have to be Wren... or Rayvn. There's a tie there. Ravyn won me over with his cat-self ;-)

Supernaturallover: Wren-The description of his eyes killed me and hooked me in from the beginning. The turquoise glow blazing at you from behind the curtain of long blond hair description was amazing! He's a tortured soul, lonely, with no love in his life. I felt his pain and cried at it. Yes, I'm a sap for a hot blond tortured by inner demons and insecurities! I have never wanted to see someone win the girl so badly!

Karla: Well duhhh Wren. He is very sexy. His story was so totally hot. The animal magnetism was wonderful. He endured so much hatred from everyone his entire life. He still endured to find true love. He knew he was one of a kind. Even with the power he has he protected a little monkey. His kindness to others touches me. Plus that sex scene when he lost his virginity was off the charts.

Mahika: Hard to choose. I like Wren but I also like all the wolves too

Thanks to Julia, Karla, Paula, Supernaturallover, and Mahika for their contribution to this post.

I'm also sorry I'm such a slow poke, this seriously took a while. But I loved doing it. And I hope you enjoy reading it. I also hope that if by chance you've seen this post and have not read the Dark-Hunter series that we have managed to get you interested and that you run to the closest book store, read the books, and become a fan!

Also thanks to Sherrilyn Kenyon for writing such an awesome series!

The next discussion is on the Twilight Saga, anyone willing to contribute let me know! And thanks again for everyones help and support.

-PJ Littlefoot

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='J.K. My intentions are simply to make a blog where all of the friends I have created could go to for info along with insight and company.

If you could not tell my series addictions lay in the hands of J.K. Rowling, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Stephanie Meyer. They all have done wonders at creating series's that are beyond anything I could even imagine, and thats saying a lot because I have tons of imagination stored up!

The big hit at this point lay with the Vampires. Not only with the very wide known Twilight Saga but also that of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series.

If you have not read Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark-Hunter series, please go to your local book store as soon as possible and pray for forgiveness. Ok, I am just kidding, but if you haven't read it you should do so very quickly. It is very addicted very long, continuing, with no end in sight, which is how I love it!

Anyway, so the blog is going to try and stay up to date with latest info (like I said I am way behind, I dont know how to catch up at this point. So starting over), and hopefully a lot of discussions on favorite book characters, favorite Vampires, favorite acting vampires, you get the point.

If anyone is interested in joining a discussion please let me know. This is my first individual post but hopefully the first discussion will be posted in the next day or so. The first post it seems will most likely be about.... Acheron! Yes you read that right. The original Dark-Hunter will be up for discussion.

Ok, I know I havent talked much about J.K. Rowling or the Harry Potter series, I sort of got lost in the vampires. But witches and wizards are capable of anything, good and bad. But it will be a big part of the blog.

Alright, I hope that I have not bored you to tears. I would really like as much input as possible. These are my favorite Series's out of the bunch (and if you seen my book shelf you would understand that there is a lot more than just these three). Alright so I am posting a Cartoon/Vampire version of myself. Mostly out of boredom, but I am trying to figure out the codes so I wanted to make sure they worked and I also just like the fact you can see my fangs!

My boredom was cured for about five minutes! The proof that I do get bored.
